1. About LiveLocal

LiveLocal is an online platform for discovering events, activities, offers and experiences taking place in Reykjavík and surrounding areas.

LiveLocal allows participating venues to create a venue profile and publish information about events and offers taking place at their venue.

LiveLocal is currently provided as a free service during its launch period.

2. Acceptance of these Terms

By creating a venue administrator account or publishing content through LiveLocal, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.

If you create or use an account on behalf of a venue, business or organization, you confirm that you are authorized to manage information and publish content on its behalf.

3. Venue administrator accounts

Venue administrator accounts are intended for authorized representatives of participating venues.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for activity carried out through it.

You must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining your venue profile.

LiveLocal may suspend or remove an account if it is being misused, is used to impersonate or falsely represent a venue, or otherwise violates these Terms.

4. Event and venue information

Venues are responsible for ensuring that the information they publish is accurate and reasonably up to date, including event dates, times, prices, offers, descriptions and venue information.

If an event is cancelled, changed or no longer available, the venue should update or remove the information as soon as reasonably possible.

LiveLocal provides a platform for discovering events and offers. Unless explicitly stated otherwise, LiveLocal does not organize, operate or control events published by third-party venues.

5. Content and images

By uploading text, images or other content to LiveLocal, you confirm that you have the rights, licences or permissions necessary to use and publish that content.

You retain ownership of content you provide. However, you grant LiveLocal a non-exclusive permission to host, display, reproduce and use that content as reasonably necessary to operate and promote LiveLocal and the events or venues listed on the platform.

6. Prohibited content and use

You may not use LiveLocal to publish or distribute content that is unlawful, fraudulent, deliberately misleading, abusive, infringing, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate for the purpose of the platform.

You may not attempt to gain unauthorized access to LiveLocal, interfere with the operation or security of the service, or use another venue's account without authorization.

LiveLocal may remove content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or the legitimate purpose and operation of the platform.

7. Information provided by venues and third parties

LiveLocal aims to provide useful and accurate information, but cannot guarantee that information supplied by venues or other third parties will always be complete, accurate or current.

Visitors should confirm important information directly with the relevant venue where appropriate, particularly where an event, price, offer, opening time or availability is important to their plans.

LiveLocal may contain links to venue websites, Instagram profiles, map services and other third-party websites or services. Those third parties are responsible for their own content, services and practices.

8. Availability and development of LiveLocal

LiveLocal is an evolving service. Features may be added, modified, tested, temporarily suspended or removed as the platform develops.

LiveLocal does not guarantee that the service will always be available without interruption or technical errors.

9. Free launch period

LiveLocal is currently offered to participating venues free of charge during an introductory launch period.

LiveLocal intends to operate venue services on a paid subscription basis after the free launch period. LiveLocal may determine, extend or end the free launch period as the platform develops.

Venue administrators will be notified by email, using the email address associated with their LiveLocal account, before the free launch period ends and before a paid subscription is required to continue using paid venue features.

Participating in the free launch period does not automatically enroll a venue in a paid subscription and will not, by itself, result in any subscription charge. A venue must separately agree to a paid subscription before LiveLocal charges it for that subscription.

Applicable pricing, billing terms and any additional conditions relating to a paid subscription will be communicated before a venue is asked to enter into that subscription.

Venue administrators are responsible for keeping the email address associated with their LiveLocal account accurate and up to date so that they can receive notices relating to the free launch period and future paid services.

10. Suspension and removal

LiveLocal may suspend or remove events, venue profiles, content or accounts where reasonably necessary to protect LiveLocal, visitors, participating venues or other parties, to enforce these Terms, or to comply with applicable law.

11. Intellectual property concerns

If you believe that content published on LiveLocal infringes intellectual property rights or has been published without appropriate authorization, please contact LiveLocal with enough information to identify the content and explain the concern.

12. Privacy

Personal information processed through LiveLocal is handled in accordance with the LiveLocal Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

These Terms may be updated as LiveLocal develops or as legal, operational or commercial requirements change.

Material changes affecting venue administrators may be communicated through LiveLocal, by email, or through another appropriate method.

Venue administrators may be required to accept an updated version of these Terms before continuing to use certain account functionality.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Icelandic law.
